Meet the Owner
Welcome! I’m Theresa Hall, founder of Making It Make Sense. I’ve lived in Texas for over 40 years, and I’ve watched Austin grow from a small city of 356,000 in 1978 to a bustling metro area of over 2.2 million. Through all that change, one thing has remained constant: life gets busy, and stuff tends to pile up—physically, emotionally, and organizationally.
After decades in healthcare, my life took an unexpected turn when I became chronically ill with Long COVID and Dysautonomia/P.O.T.S. The constant cycle of doctor’s appointments, treatments, and managing my health made it clear I needed a new path—one that offered flexibility and aligned with my values.
At the same time, I was the primary caregiver for my beloved stepfather, whom I proudly called “Daddy.” He bravely battled Parkinson’s Disease with dementia and eventually required nursing home care. Even then, I remained deeply involved—coordinating with hospice, managing his care, and advocating for him every step of the way. He passed peacefully on April 15, 2025, following complications from a fall and hip surgery.
After his passing, I took on the responsibility of managing his estate on behalf of my mother. Even as someone who’s naturally organized, I quickly realized how overwhelming and uncharted the aftermath of loss can be. That experience opened my eyes to just how many others face similar challenges without support or guidance.
That’s why I started Making It Make Sense. I combine practical skills in home and life organization with empathy, lived experience, and a deep understanding of what it means to care for others during life’s toughest transitions. My mission is to help you feel less overwhelmed and more in control—wherever you are on your journey.
